OUR STORY

Marsha Mae fell into my lap as a 12-year-old foster, and only a week later, she made a foster failure out of me.  A spunky senior surrendered for euthanasia, I was not surprised to learn that by giving all the kisses, she was able to cheat her fate that day.  Being transported from Jersey, she soon became a Long Island girl.

I fell in love with Marsha.  She was my shadow.  I could not fathom the thought of anybody letting her go.  My husband and I knew there was so much life left in this little girl, and she quickly became more than just a dog to us.  She was more than our best friend.  She was our first (fur) baby together, and we treated her as just that.  We may have given her a second chance at life, but the indescribable happiness and emotional support she brought to us outweighed anything we could ever do for her.

As I sit here settling last minute details of M. Mae, All Things Dog Boutique, I think back to the days I'd sit in my office with Marsha at my feet, daydreaming of someday opening a dog boutique.  Losing Marsha in October of 2023 shattered my world in so many ways, and becoming a new mother (of a non-fur child) at almost the same time, I began seeing my life and future in a new light.  Together, with my son, the two of them have unknowingly given me the strength and courage I needed to take a leap of faith, making my dreams become a reality.  The five years spent with Marsha Mae will never be enough, but I will forever be thankful to her for guiding me towards this new chapter of life, M. Mae.

I hope you love my shop.  I hope you spoil your dog.  And most of all, I hope Marsha's story encourages others to not only adopt, but to consider a senior.  They truly are the best.

(And yes, she came with the name Marsha.)
